Home Is Where the Heart Is
Guest Artist: Nancy
http://thetrinketcollector.blogspot.com
When I saw this wonderful box of Nancy’s, it spoke to my heart. To me, nothing could be more important than home and family. Everything else is icing on the cake.
I started to give it some thought and realized that our earthly homes are reflections of ourselves, including the books on the shelves, the musical instruments, even the tea cups that reveal our own unique tastes.
As much as our physical homes mean to us, it is often spiritual homes that are difficult to build. What are some essential tools for creating them? Prayer and scripture are the basic foundations from which we can gain insight and grow. It seems that the more we learn, the more we need to know. It is a never-ending, sometimes challenging, and always worthwhile process.
I am moved by so many of you who work to strengthen those spiritual ties every day. You inspire me and make me want to learn more and be more. I thank you for your fellowship and hope that you will continue to grow stronger in your faith every day.
Hugs,
Cindy

ReplyDeleteI think a necessary decoration for my spiritual house would be the fruits of the Holy Spirit. I want my house filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. It will look great!
ReplyDeleteAs I've been packing my house to move this week I am amazed at how much memory goes into everything I buy. Everything has meaning to me. I'm not saying my "stuff" is important but I value their meaning and place in my life. It's a collection of who I am and have been for the last 20 years.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post and reminder for us to step back and be a gentle observer of how we build our spiritual houses....so important!!! Beautiful blog, Cindy.
