Guest Artist: Olive

http://oliveout.blogspot.com

When I saw this picture on Olive’s blog, I asked her if she would mind being a Guest Artist on here. Now I will tell you what struck me so profoundly when I viewed this photograph--it was the immense care that she takes in her home. One can immediately recognize that Olive puts such time and effort into it and enjoys the true pleasures and treasures in life.

I wanted you to see it (and some of you may have even seen it before), but this time I hope it is with a new understanding. The Lord loves it when we create something of beauty for those dear to us. That is an example of someone using her gifts.

I received an email from Margaret a few days ago about people using their gifts. She explained how the Lord wants us to use the gifts that He gives us.

I would like for you to think about your gifts and begin polishing them off and using them! Don’t be shy--you have a lot to give this world!

I am thankful that Olive agreed to share her gift with us--the gift of creating beauty. It is wonderful and this world needs more people like Olive in it. And it needs more people like Margaret too who can email a friend and teach them about spiritual lessons. And it needs more people like you who are reading this and interested in your spiritual growth and sharing it with others.

  3. Hi Cindy...this is a lovely post. I'm going to pop on over for a look-see :) :) It's funny you mention polishing off those gifts that God has given you...one that He's given me is a real talent for foreign languages. I speak fluent German, some Norwegian, French and S panish. I lived in Germany for three years so I learned very quick!!! I've let it fall by the wayside a little bit in this time of trying to find a job!!!...But I'm going to bring out my German Bible and start using that as my everyday Bible...and maybe I can combine German language with cute photos for something..I don't know what to choose :) :) I've seen the link party. I'm still trying to decide what to write about. I will have another memory verse posted sometime tomorrow, for sure!!! Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  12. Cindy~

You are so right. And I believe that we also need to use our gifts to serve him and help others as well.

I was blessed today when I posted on Margarets blog about her craft room and it went from there to posting my story on your site, and so much more... I have discovered woman with the same passions and love for crafts and the lord.

    Thank you!
