Please Continue to Pray

Here's a picture taken this last spring...(my hair was brown for a brief while.)

To all of you who have come to this blog and prayed for my husband and for me and for Jan's mom--I love you...You are so absolutely dear and I so appreciate you holding me up in this time of great need.

This day began at 5:30...It is now 2 am and I just got home a little bit ago...It seems like the longest day of my life.

My husband is in the Intensive Care Unit and I please ask for you to continue praying for him....I needed to get a few hours of sleep before I make the 25 mile trip back to the hospital over Lake Pontchartrain....

I don't know if you've ever been in this type of situation where it is so unexplainably shocking that you don't even know how to pray because you are living from one moment to the next hearing one bit of information after the other that defies your sense of what the present should be like....

I will leave early in the morning again and I will give you an update when I get home...I thank you so much for your prayers and love...you are all unbelievable human beings and I thank you for all you mean to me.

Love,
Cindy

P.S. I can't help wondering how on earth I started a simple prayer blog in case someone needed a prayer and then I ended up needing it myself....No doubt, God knew that all of this would be happening before it did.

  4. Cindy, God does work in awesome ways, doesn't He? Look at all the people who are praying for you and for your husband. I will continue praying for you both daily. Again, thank you for your prayers for my mom.

God bless you and hold you tight, provide you with the strength and assurance you need, refresh you, keep you strong in your faith, and provide swift healing to your husband.

  5. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26

Don't worry. The Holy Spirit is interceding right now.

  6. I prayed for you and hubs several times yesterday. I went to bed with you and another friend whose husband had surgery yesterday heavy on my mind. And I'm praying again this morning. May the Lord restore him to radiant good health...and may He lavish His grace and peace upon you.

    Love and great big hugs,
    Patti

  7. Hi Cindy,
Praying for you and your husband at this time of need. It is ok that you don't know what to pray at this time. God knows exactly what your heart and mind are saying. You are in the palm of his hand.

  8. Hi Cindy, Oh my, i am sorry i was unaware that this was happening to you . I will keep you both in my prayers sweetie and will be thinking of you constantly. I have been a similar situation twice since 2005 , first it was my 5 week old grandson and then last year it was my son who is 30 and suffered a stroke and an anuerysm. Both times I was blessed and feel that God granted me miracles. I hope he will grant you the same.
please know that you are being prayed for and I hope you will be back with good news soon.

  12. (I wrote this twice because my first one disappeared. Hope it doesn't go on two times.)

Dear Cindy, I continue to be in prayer for you and Ralph. God is with you. What a beautiful picture of you two...so much love.

Remember that even if it doesn't seem like it, He is right there in your midst, just like the picture you shared in one of your posts lasts week. You had no idea it was there all along.

I am not surprised that you started a prayer blog not knowing you'd need prayer down the line. God did. He is so good that He had you sowing what you didn't even know you'd need to reap down the road. That is our precious Father.

Remember that even in the midst of that hospital, there are eyes watching you who don't know Him and are seeing Him through you. Your brokenness only allows His light to shine through more brightly. Much love sis.

Big hugs and may the Lord wrap Himself around you today like a warm blanket and bring you much comfort and peace.
