Guest Artist: Joyce

Hi Everyone--

I would like to introduce you to Joyce...First, she is wonderful. And second, she has been making teddy bears for over 20 years!

So, you may wonder what special message might be contained within the picture of a teddy bear...I will tell you what it is: Part of the purpose of life is to have JOY and FUN.

It’s wonderful to giggle with a friend over a cup of hot chocolate, enjoy the rustle of fall leaves under our feet, play a game of tag with the wind at the beach--those are all intrinsic parts of the wonder of life.

I thought that this picture would help you get in touch with “the child within.” In fact, have you ever noticed sometimes how on spiritual blogs (including my own) sometimes things sound SO serious? Well, I have! And life is serious, but it has special, whimsical moments too.

Joyce, thank you for reminding us of that whimsy and inviting us to enjoy all the special and light moments that come our way.

One more thing I need to ask: For those "prayer warriors" out there, please pray for a man named Al who just had a heart attack and needs our prayers...thank you so much.

Love,
Cindy

How true! Something that I learned while studying and in group settings was that so many people did not get to be children when they were children let alone know how to let go as adults. And its so important and fun too. I am going to make a point to let go today and have a little fun... Maybe I will go grab those grandchildren of mine and let them show me the way. Thanks Cindy!

  3. Hi Cindy,

Thank you so much, what a wonderful surprise when we saw Zack on your Blog. Mom didn't know what we were chattering about, we were so excited our words sorta got jumbled. Giggle. So we did the next best thing, pointed to the puter. (o:

We just want to bring a smile and giggle to those who just might need a little "escape" from the real world.

  12. LOVE this cute bear, yellow car and all. I agree about things getting too serious spiritually at times. I have come to enjoy the Rednesday meme at Sue's blog, It's a Very Cherry World so much. I hop from blog to blog seeing all the beautiful reds and catch myself smiling week after week. We need that balance. I think it's why I'm such a big movie fan. Gotta have balance. Although I must admit I tend to like the ones that make me cry. :(

Oh, reminds me, glad you liked One True Thing. For some reason, that movie speaks volumes to me. I won't give too much away, but I love the transition that takes place in her daughter. I also love how Meryl is so full of joy and contented in caring for her family. One of my favorite scenes in the movie is when they walk down the street on Halloween. Anywho, glad you liked it.

  13. Joyce's bears are so sweet as well as Joyce. She is the one that told me about your blog. I am so glad that she did.

I hope you and your husand are doing better. There have been a lot of heart attacks going around.

I will your friend Al up in prayer to our Heavenly Father.

Hugs and many blessings to you.
