A BIG thank you!!!

Hi Everyone,

My husband just went out to the mailbox and walked in with a BIG surprise for me! One Heart sent me a book called "Streams in the Desert." What she doesn't know is that I had only heard of the book the day before I received the news that she was sending it to me. I had just been thinking, "Wow, I need to get that book." The next thing I knew, she sent it to me! What a wonderful surprise--and it means even more because it came from her. I feel truly blessed. One Heart, I cannot thank you enough.

There is still time to visit the Link Party that is on-going....Just list your favorite movie on your blog and link it up here!
Love,
Cindy

  1. Hi Cindy....how cool is this. I really enjoy that book. An older lady at my church gave me a copy when I was a senior in high school...for my birthday. It's a great little book. I'll be posting on my blog t his week about work and such. This week has been super b usy...and I won't be getting near as many hours as I was originally told. it's the same for my coworkers, too...but we'll make it :) :) :) Those are always the best surprises...what a nice gesture from One Heart!!! Have a great weekend. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  2. Oh Cindy, I'm so happy God knew. Isn't He amazing. I simply followed His leading. I sit with mine and coffee almost every morning during my quiet time with God. The beautiful thing about this devotional is that it is always right on target--truly one very anointed book. Also, the two copies I have received, have been gifts too--one from a dear friend and now a newer one from my daughter. Like I said, it is available to read online but having it at hand to sit back on my couch or take with me to the beach at times is really a treasure. Enjoy it!

  3. What a lovely gift. It's such a joy, isn't it, to go to the mailbox and discover something other than bills or junk.

    Rejoicing with you,
    Patti

  4. Cindy - Streams is one of two devotional books I have used faithfully for the past 34 years. I love, love, love it. I think the poetry is what I love best. Oh, and the references to George Muehller. He is my prayer mentor.

  5. Oh, Cindy! You know the pictures you made for me for my friend Marsha's girls? (We're still working on it) My sweet friend, Marsha loved that book and it gave her great comfort. We used to email and talk often and pray often during the last days of her illness. One day, I found a copy of Streams in the Desert in my mailbox with a beautiful handwritten note from Marsha. Her sister had taken her for treatment, and on the way hone, she had her sister stop by my house so she could put it in my mailbox. I still get teary eyed when I think about it. It is still the devotional I go to when I am hurting over something - and of course, to the Bible. I know you will love it too. Wow. BTW, would you please email me your address? Please? God bless you! F Cindy
