Our Southern Home

Hi Everyone--
I just figured out how to make a collage (with the help and patience
of Heather!) and I wanted to post a picture of my New Orleans home.
Somehow, I guess with this being on the internet, it's easier to picture
people when we know where they're at and get a flavor for the area...

I just realized that Dayle has Simple Pleasures, so I am linking this up because one of my simple pleasures is planting a garden...I would tell you that it is rocking in the rocking chairs on the porch but lately it's been about 5,000 degrees here (just kidding!) so we are outside as little as possible.

If you click on the picture, it will enlarge it as it's a little difficult
to see in this size.

Also, if you would like to add your name to my drawing for the mixed media piece, please scroll down and just let me know.

The link party will be on Friday thru Sunday--put the title of your favorite song on your blog and let us know what it is!!!
I can't wait to know what it is!

Hugs,
Cindy

  1. Yeah...you figured it out and it posted perfectly. I even left-clicked on it to see what would happen. You saved it/posted it just right!!! One thing about Picasa, it gets really pesky when you try to upload more than four photos at a time. Four seems to be the magic number...if you have to do multiples...but I like one at a time too. :) :) Is that a magnolia tree? I love magnolias. We have them here in Oregon...but it's a different type...called a saucer magnolia, I believe.. I've seen a few around town..Those large off-white blooms are beautiful!!! Yeah!!!! Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  2. Well done Cindy. Your home is full of Southern charm. Making collages is a bit of a challenge for me. It builds character.

  7. Wow, it's stunning! And your home has such class! It's so beautiful! I love gardening, too, but mine right now is a vegetable garden! Today I was eating cherry and grape tomatoes straight off the plant! :) Yum!

  8. What a beautiful home you have Cindy. Such old world charm and your garden looks gorgeous.
Compared to that I live in a cupboard (closet to you!) A tiny dollshouse of a bungalow but we do have a lovely garden. Everyone who calls always admires the garden. That's all down to DH. He has green fingers!

  9. Ps. Since you have told me what you can use tags for I think , WOW, a neat idea for books!! I leave books open all of the time, my Bible included. A tag would be something handy. How do you learn about making one. Is there an easy tutorial out there? (perhaps you have done it and I have forgotten?)
